The goals and objectives of the Fredericksburg-Princes Town Sister City Association is grow and enhance the relationship between the two cities by:
1. Building reciprocal relationships between the people of Fredericksburg and the people of Princes Town;
2. Creating an environment of positive economic and community development and
3. Stimulating environments through which both communities can creatively learn, work and problem-solve together through reciprocal exchanges and projects, involving education, arts and culture, business, and professional/technical areas such as health and the environment.

On 1 January 1681, a Brandenburger expedition of two ships, arrived in the Gold Coast, and began to build a strong fort between Axim and Cape of Three Points. The original name of this West African town was "Pokezoe" but after the fort was built, it was renamed Fort Gross-Friedrichsburg (more...)
