The Fredericksburg-Princes Town Sister City Association will collect books, school supplies, shoes and sporting goods for the benefit of Princes Town.

All traveler's must have a valid passport, visa and yellow fever immunization certificate.
US PASSPORTS
Applications and instructions for obtaining a US Passport can be found on the US State Department. Please note that processing a US passport can take 10 - 12 weeks so avoid expediting fees and submit those applications now!
GHANAIAN VISA'S
Applications and instructions for obtaining a Ghanaian visa can be obtained from the Ghanaian Embassy in Washington, DC. Visa's are normally processed in 3-4 business days.
Yellow fever certification is required upon arrival to Ghana. You must arrange for this immunization 4-6 weeks prior to departure. Check with your local health department for yellow fever and malaria immunizations.

Run/Walk Against Malaria in Africa Marathon
Every 30 seconds, somebody dies from malaria- a preventable and curable disease. That's over a million people a year. Eighty-five percent of these people are Africans living in places like Princes Town-our sister city. Please join us in our first fundraising effort to help Princes Town fight malaria. Our goal is to raise enough money to purchase 5,000 bed nets to protect children and the elderly from being bitten by mosquitoes carrying this fatal disease. This event is being sponsored by: EmpoweringthePoor.org, with support from The Center for African American Genealogical Research, Inc., FPTSCA, M & M African Braiding Shop and Data System Plus.
